Note to self: Beryl's 'Unredirected Fullscreen Windows' option is important. I haven't been able to game since I upgraded to XOrg 7.2 and started using beryl on my desktop since OpenGL games were suddenly insanely slow. Far too slow to play. It was a shame. So I did some digging and found out that even in full screen, by default, they are drawn to an off screen pixmap and then beryl handles redrawing them. No wonder they are slow. A window manager responsible for drawing 3D games? But that option allows any window in full screen mode, like games, to have direct access back, and so full speed is back and I can game.
It's funny, sometimes when I'm focusing on something I hate any kind of context switch, but other times, I really need a 5 or 10 minute break ever now and again to clear my head or let things sink in.

Me too, most of the times when I deal with computers I don’t like content switching but is useful cause it clears your mind….MSICS

Where exactly is this option found in the Beryl-Manager?
is it this?
Advanced Beryl options –> Rendering –> Indirect

Hmm… found an “unredirect fullscreen window” option in the settings manager.
Undirected… vs. Unredirect
Same thing? A typo?
