I don't know why I forgot to mention this, but later yesterday Rob and I were at UBC and we went through this hugh pile of old computer stuff. And old computer stuff there was. I found Sun mice and keyboards (ugliest 3 buttun mice I've ever seen), and I found some Silicon Graphics Keyboards. Wow. Also saw an old Macintosh and a bunch of hugh external IBM modems.
But in the pile, we also fished out like 10ish 3Com 10BT 12 port routers. A quick Ebay check said they're worth ~$10 US so whatever. Although if we actually have all ~10 working than that's somewhat like a ~$100 score. So Woo. I grabbed two. Rob took two and left the rest at his desk. If only we could find space and electricity we have the networking infustructure for one hell of a decent and large lan party.
We got a little more into the grave robbing and I unhooked two decent case fans with a screw driver and an over sized knife and Rob got about 3 power supplies, the older ones that actually have on/off buttons on them, for various projects. All in all a fun plundering.
Also, this morning installed winamp lite, a mod plugin, and the starcon 2 sound track on my school account. For 4 megs, I have 1 hour and 13 minutes of cheesy game music listening pleasure. Not bad at all.
