Yesterday Juana and Javier came over. We had been planning to go to
Antigua but there was a protest on so we stayed home and watched Little Ms Sunshine and Kill Bill. We also went out and got coffee and candy. They stayed over, and we had fun.
We got up early today and Chan came over and we and Yolanda trekked forth in the car bound for Panajachel. Was a long drive, and the roads here are hilarious. But once we got there it was beautiful, and we parked and wandered and shopped. Good times. We hopped back in the car and then rode hte long ride to Antigua which is the old colonial Guatemalan capital city. It was also amazing and beautiful and old fashioned. The whole city is heritage protected. We grabbed dinnner and the Monoloco or The Crazy Monkey. After that we shopped a bit really only buying ye olde fashioed candy. Then we drove home.
Once home we ate said candy confections and chilled for a bit. Then they left and I said my farewells to them. Kind of sad because they are a lot of fun, but hopefully someday we´ll see each other again.
Tomorrow I grab an early plane back to Cancun, where I chill for a little less then a day.
