Seems I can't go on vacation. My co-location facility had a power outage while I was away and again my server wasn't turned back on. That was December 30th. I got back on Jan 2nd and found out what had happened and called to ask it be turned on, and after an hour and a half I was notified they couldn't find my server.
Pretty fun stuff. Anyways, I went in today and we search high and low for it. After about 30 minutes we figured it out. It was right where we'd left it, how ever a Dell face plate had fallen right in front of it. They hadn't bothered to open the cage so they hadn't noticed it, but I figured it out after some intense through cage scrutinizing.
Suffice to say they were most embarrassed and reparations have been made and mindstab.net is back, and should have slightly more attention paid to it in the future. So, welcome to 2006.
