You know, dear internet, I'm very impressionable some times. Anyways, I was leafing through my feeds when I found this neat blog post by fellow name Dave Roberts, entitled A Timeless, Desert Island Language in my Planet Lisp section. And it's a quick neat fun read, with a conclusion you might not expect.
And if you read it, you'll probably be able to predict what shinny new idea/project has caught my attention, especially if you were already familiar with my kink for computer languages.
I want to find some time to take a quick stab at writing a simple Lisp interpreter!
Christian Hammond just posted a blog entry, "Watching you watching me watching you", that covers an idea that's been coalescing in the back of my mind for a month or two. It's basically about the fact that with technology and culture where it is today, we put out a fantastic amount of freely available knowledge about ourselves and that this runs counter to many people's strong desire for privacy and fear of 'Big Brother'.
He says it fairly well. Go check it out.

There's an interesting part about how Microsoft should have their smartest people make better tools so their less good coders could still make decent and secure apps with out having to focus on C memory allocation etc.
Interesting that with C# this is what they seem to have done. A prophetic article? Or just very intelligent. And good for Microsoft for picking up on this.
Recently there have been some flame wars on the Linux desktop of choice. Luis Villa adds his two cents, which is mostly that it doesn't mater. With out innovation it's moot.

I've spawned a new tag, 'articles'. Every now and again I find cool articles and then I 'loose' them on the web. From now on I'll save links to them here. And of course I encourage everyone to read them ;).
